On a computer:
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- Click the event you want to delete.
- Click Delete event.
Tip: To delete an event, right-click the event. Then, click Delete.

Delete a recurring series
Google Calendar Help documents separate delete options for a repeating event. If someone else created the series, you will not find these options. Important: if you choose This and following events or All following, the deleted events are not moved to the trash and cannot be restored.
On a computer, Help lists:
- This event or Only this instance: delete this event, but keep other future events.
- This and following events or All following: delete this event and future events.
- All events or All events in the series: delete all events in the series.
Android and iPhone Help name This event and This and following events. If you do not have modify access, Help says you can only delete one event at a time from your calendar. Series setup and edit scopes are in the recurring events guide.

Delete all events on a calendar
Google Calendar Help says: if you want to delete all events in your Google Calendar, clear all events on your primary calendar. Then you must delete any other calendars you may own. Important: you can delete events from your calendar, but you cannot delete your primary calendar.
Delete Help documents this path to clear the primary calendar:
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the bottom left, hover over the primary calendar.
- Click Options, then Settings and sharing.
- Under "Settings for my calendars," click Remove calendar.
- Under "Remove calendar," click Delete.
Delete or unsubscribe Help documents a second path: Settings, then the name of your primary calendar at the top of the list (usually your first and last name), then Delete at the bottom of the page. Help says it may take a few minutes to fully access Google Calendar's features after clearing your primary calendar.
To delete a secondary calendar you own: Settings, click the calendar name, then Remove calendar, Delete, Delete permanently. If you shared that calendar, it is removed for everyone. Android Help says to delete a calendar, open Google Calendar on a computer.
Those options clear the whole calendar. They are not a filter for old events, one day, or one name. If you meant to move events to another account instead of wiping them, see the transfer calendar guide or the copy events guide.

Unsubscribe vs delete
Google Calendar Help separates hiding, unsubscribing, and deleting.
- Hide: click the calendar in the left list, or hover and choose Hide from list. The calendar is still yours or still shared with you.
- Unsubscribe: only if you are not the owner. Settings, select the calendar, Remove calendar, Unsubscribe. You will not find it again unless the owner re-shares it. This does not delete the owner's events.
- Delete: only if you own the calendar. A secondary calendar can be deleted permanently. The primary calendar cannot be deleted; you can only delete all of its events.
If you are the owner of a secondary calendar, Help says you cannot unsubscribe from it. Hide it, transfer ownership, or delete it permanently.

Trash and restore
Trash is a computer-only Help flow. When you delete an event or mark it as spam, it stays in that calendar's trash for 30 days. When you go to the trash, you can restore events or delete them forever. There is a separate trash for each calendar.
To see or restore deleted events:
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- In the top right, click Settings menu, then Trash.
- To restore an individual event, next to the event, click Restore. To restore selected events, click Restore all selected.
To delete forever from trash: Delete forever next to one event, Delete forever all selected, or Empty trash. Anyone who has at least Make changes to events permission can delete and restore events from that calendar's trash.
If you chose This and following events or All following, those instances are permanently removed and do not go to the trash. After 30 days, events are gone from trash.

Search, names, and multiple events
People look for delete multiple events, delete multiple events at once, or delete events with the same name. Google Calendar Help does not document a multi-select delete on the calendar grid or a select-all from search results.
What Help does document: Searchon a computer. Click Search at the top right, enter terms, and click a result to see the event details. To filter, click the Down arrow. You can choose which calendars to search, What (information from the event, including its name), Who, Where, Doesn't have, and Date range. Search results are limited to 200 events.
From there, open each result and delete it the usual way. If the matching events are one repeating series you created, use All events or All events in the series. If they all live on a secondary calendar you created, deleting that calendar removes them. Clearing the primary calendar removes every event on it, not only the name you searched.

Events you were invited to
If someone else created the event, Google Calendar Help says you cannot delete it for everyone. After you remove an event, Calendar tells the event organizer you decline.
On a computer:
- Open Google Calendar.
- Open the event you want to remove.
- Click Remove or Remove from this calendar.
You can also respond No in Calendar or in the invitation email. That is a decline, not an organizer delete. On Android and iPhone, if you are not the event owner, Help says you can only remove the event from your calendar: open it, tap More, then Delete.

Documented options: on a computer, Search, click the Down arrow, set a Date range, then open each result and delete it. Results are limited to 200 events. When Resync helps (and when it does not)
Use the steps above to delete one event, a repeating series, or all events on a Google calendar you own. Resync does not delete your own events, scan a calendar for old events, or offer a multi-select delete. It does not sync Outlook, Apple Calendar, or iCloud.
Use Resync when you need the same busy time on another of your Google calendars. Resync only creates Google-only private Busy holds between a user's own Google Calendars. Holds are titled Busy. It currently syncs Google calendars only. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.
- Holds are titled Busy. Description, location, attendees, and conference data are left empty, so source meeting details stay on the source calendar.
- Resync only deletes the hold events it created. It looks up the Busy events it wrote and deletes those, never your own events.
- If you turn off Source on a calendar, Resync stops watching it and deletes the Busy holds it created from that source on your mirrors.
- If you turn off Mirror on a calendar, Resync deletes the Busy holds it created on that mirror.
- If you disconnect a non-primary Google account, Resync deletes the holds created by that account and the holds written onto that account. You cannot disconnect the primary account.
- If you delete your Resync account, Resync stops every mirror, purges all of the Busy holds it created, cancels the subscription, and deletes your account data. That cannot be undone.
- If a source event is cancelled or deleted while Resync is still watching that calendar, Resync deletes the matching Busy holds. If you delete or edit a hold, Resync records that and does not recreate it for the same source event on that mirror.
- Resync looks 90 days ahead when it reads source events. A polling fallback also runs about every 5 minutes. Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors. Resync currently syncs Google calendars only.
Set up Resync
- Sign in with GoogleOpen Resync and sign in with the Google account you want as your primary account. You land on setup.
- Connect another Google accountChoose Connect another Google account and finish Google's permission screen. Resync needs at least two Google accounts before you can start.
- Start syncingWhen a second account is connected, setup shows bidirectional mirroring as the intended default: real events on either side become private busy blocks on the other. Choose Start syncing to open the dashboard.
- Mark sources and mirrorsIn Sync configuration, turn on Source to read busy time from a calendar and Mirror to receive Busy holds. A calendar can be both. Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors because Resync needs write access to create holds.
FAQ
How do I delete all events in Google Calendar?
Google Calendar Help says: if you want to delete all events in your Google Calendar, clear all events on your primary calendar, then delete any other calendars you own. You cannot delete your primary calendar. On a computer, hover over the primary calendar, click Options → Settings and sharing, then under Settings for my calendars click Remove calendar, then under Remove calendar click Delete. Trash is a computer-only Help flow. When you delete an event, it stays in that calendar's trash for 30 days. On a computer: Settings menu → Trash. No. Resync is not a bulk-delete tool and it never deletes your own events. It only deletes the Busy hold events it created. Disconnecting a non-primary Google account deletes holds created by that account and holds written onto that account. Deleting your Resync account purges all of those holds. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.
Connect the Google calendars you want to keep aligned, then mark sources and mirrors on the dashboard.
Resync will ask Google for permission to:see your list of calendars; see events on the calendars you choose as Sources, to know when you're busy; and create, update and delete events titled "Busy" on calendars you choose as Mirrors. We never store event titles, attendees or locations. Privacy policy
