People look up OneCal alternatives when they want to sync or mirror busy time across several Google Calendars — work and personal, or a few client accounts — without paying a higher plan each time they add a calendar.
Short answer: if those calendars are Google Calendar, Resync writes hold events titled Busy, with no source titles or attendees. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. That published price is one monthly amount and one annual amount. It does not add a per-calendar tier.
OneCal is a calendar sync product. It writes clone events onto other calendars and also ships booking links and a unified calendar view. It supports Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud, and CalDAV. Resync is Google Calendar only. Keep OneCal when you need those other providers.

When OneCal is the better pick
OneCal is the better pick when the job is bigger than Google busy holds. Resync cannot cover those other providers or the extra product.
OneCal has no lasting free plan after the 14-day trial. If you only used it to block work and personal Google Calendars, the options below compare that narrower job.
Who each option fits
- OneCal. You need Outlook, iCloud, or CalDAV as a destination, you want to choose how much detail clone events carry, or you also want booking links and a unified calendar view. Plans start at $5/user/month billed annually for 2 calendars. Resync cannot cover those other providers.
- CalendarBridge. You want a sync-first tool that writes copies onto Google or Outlook, with optional iCloud or ICS URL sources, and you want to turn event details off so copies are titled busy. Basic is $5/month or $4/month billed yearly for 2 sync connections, and the account can fall back to free Basic if a trial ends without a card.
- Reclaim Calendar Sync. You want the AI scheduler — Habits, Focus Time, Tasks, Smart Meetings, scheduling links — and Calendar Sync onto Google or Outlook is one piece of that. Lite is free with 1 Calendar Sync. Paid plans add more syncs and a longer scheduling range.
- SyncThemCalendars. You want one-way or two-way copies across Google, Outlook, and Apple iCloud, with per-field control to hide titles behind a Busy block. Basic is $3.99/month ($47.88 billed yearly) for 5 calendar syncs. Premium is listed for 36 syncs.
- Resync. The calendars that get booked are Google calendars, and you want Busy holds with no source titles, attendees, or locations. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. That price does not add a per-calendar tier. Resync does not move meetings, create Focus Time, or offer scheduling links.
How Resync's Busy holds work
Resync does not share calendars with each other. It reads when you are busy on Google calendars you mark as sources and writes hold events onto Google calendars you mark as mirrors.
- Holds are titled Busy. Description, location, attendees, and conference data are left empty, so source meeting details stay on the source calendar.
- When you mark calendars as both source and mirror, a booking on either calendar becomes a Busy hold on the others. That is two-way blocking between those Google calendars.
- If a source event moves, Resync updates the hold. If the event is cancelled, marked free, declined, or is a working-location event, Resync does not keep a hold.
- Resync looks 90 days ahead when it reads source events. Holds it writes are marked so they are not copied again.
- If you delete or edit a hold, Resync records that and does not recreate it for the same source event on that mirror.
- Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors. Resync currently syncs Google calendars only.
Use Resync when the calendars that get booked are Google calendars and you want Busy holds with no source titles. Use OneCal, CalendarBridge, Reclaim, or SyncThemCalendars when you also need Outlook, iCloud, booking links, or an AI planner.
Set up Resync
- Sign in with GoogleOpen Resync and sign in with the Google account you want as your primary account. You land on setup.
- Connect another Google accountChoose Connect another Google account and finish Google's permission screen. Resync needs at least two Google accounts before you can start.
- Start syncingWhen a second account is connected, setup shows bidirectional mirroring as the intended default: real events on either side become private busy blocks on the other. Choose Start syncing to open the dashboard.
- Mark sources and mirrorsIn Sync configuration, turn on Source to read busy time from a calendar and Mirror to receive Busy holds. A calendar can be both. Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors because Resync needs write access to create holds.
FAQ
What is a cheaper OneCal alternative for calendar sync?
If you only need Busy holds between Google calendars, Resync writes holds titled Busy and costs $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. That published price is one monthly or annual amount; it does not add a per-calendar tier. CalendarBridge Basic is $5/month or $4/month billed yearly for 2 sync connections, with a free Basic fallback if you do not add a card. SyncThemCalendars Basic is $3.99/month ($47.88 billed yearly) for 5 calendar syncs. OneCal Starter is $5/user/month billed annually for 2 calendars. Those other tools also cover Outlook or iCloud, which Resync does not.
Is there a free OneCal alternative?
OneCal's own pricing page says there is no lasting free plan after the 14-day trial. Reclaim Lite is free forever and includes 1 Calendar Sync. CalendarBridge drops to a free Basic tier (2 sync connections) if a trial ends without a payment method. Resync is $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. Google Calendar sharing is free, but it is a view, not a hold on the calendar other people book.
OneCal vs CalendarBridge — which should I pick?
Both write event copies so the destination calendar shows you as busy. OneCal prices by connected calendars (2 / 5 / 50) and documents Google, Outlook, iCloud, and CalDAV as write targets, plus booking links and a unified calendar view. CalendarBridge prices by sync connections (2 / 20 / 56), writes to Google and Outlook, can use iCloud or ICS URL feeds as sources, and keeps a free Basic fallback. Pick OneCal when you need iCloud or CalDAV as a destination or want booking links in the same product. Pick CalendarBridge when you want connection-based plans or the free Basic fallback.
Does Resync sync Outlook or iCloud?
No. Resync is a Google Calendar app. It does not write holds into Outlook or iCloud. If you need those providers, OneCal documents Google, Outlook, iCloud, and CalDAV; CalendarBridge documents Google and Outlook destinations with optional iCloud or ICS URL sources; Reclaim documents Google and Outlook Calendar Sync; SyncThemCalendars documents Google, Outlook, and Apple iCloud.
Does Resync charge per calendar?
No. The public price is $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. That copy comes from a single monthly amount and a single annual amount. There is no per-calendar tier in that pricing. You can connect more than two Google accounts and mark calendars as sources, mirrors, or both. Resync does not publish a calendar-count cap on the public site.
What if I delete a Busy hold that Resync created?
Resync records that change and does not recreate a hold for the same source event on that mirror calendar.
Connect the Google calendars you want to keep aligned, then mark sources and mirrors on the dashboard.
Resync will ask Google for permission to:see your list of calendars; see events on the calendars you choose as Sources, to know when you're busy; and create, update and delete events titled "Busy" on calendars you choose as Mirrors. We never store event titles, attendees or locations. Privacy policy
