Guide
Short answer: if the calendar is already in the left list on calendar.google.com and only some events are missing, they are usually hidden, not unsynced. Check the calendar under My calendars. Turn on Show declined events if you said No. Turn on Show events from Gmail for flights and reservations. Confirm the Google account, the date or view, and search. Deleted events stay in Trash for 30 days on a computer. If events are right on the web but missing on one device, read that device section. If the whole calendar is missing, use the shared calendar guide. If nothing from that account appears on a phone, use the not-syncing guide.
Resync writes private Busy holds onto your other Google calendars. It does not change those visibility settings, and it does not sync Outlook or Apple Calendar. The mirror calendar must be visible on the device to see the holds.
Start with where the event exists. If it is on calendar.google.com and only gone from one app, stay on that device. If it is gone on the web too, fix the web view before you change a phone. This page is for a calendar that is already there while specific events are missing or hidden.
| What you see | Start here | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Missing on calendar.google.com too | Web (computer) | The calendar is unchecked, declined events are hidden, Events from Gmail is off, the event is in Trash, or you are in the wrong account, date, or view. |
| On the web, missing on iPhone or iPad | iPhone and iPad | The Google Calendar app and Apple Calendar are different apps. Check the calendar toggle, Apple Calendar Sync lookback, and Google's Calendar sync page for shared calendars. |
| On the web, missing on Android or a new phone | Android and a new phone | The account is missing, Calendar sync is off, or that calendar is hidden in the app. A new phone needs the account and calendars selected again. |
| On the web, missing in Outlook | Outlook | Outlook is subscribed to a delayed iCal feed, or someone imported a one-time .ics snapshot that never updates. |
| A meeting invite is missing | Events from someone else | That is an invitation, not a hidden event on a calendar you already see. Use the invite-not-showing guide. |
| The whole calendar is missing | A different guide | A missing calendar is not the same as missing events. Use the shared-calendar guide or the not-syncing guide. |
Google Calendar Help, Apple Support, and Microsoft Support steps checked Nov 4, 2026.
Open calendar.google.com in a browser. If the event is missing there, a phone will not invent it. Google Calendar Help documents these controls on a computer.
If the calendar itself is not under My calendars or Other calendars, stop here and use the shared calendar guide. Resync does not change those web settings.

Decide which app you mean. The Google Calendar app and the Calendar app that comes with the iPhone are not the same. Events can be right in one and missing in the other. Confirm them on calendar.google.com first.
In the Google Calendar app, tap Menu and turn the calendar on. A calendar toggled off in that account menu hides its events. Google Calendar Help also documents Show declined events and Events from Gmail under Menu → Settings. The app only syncs past events up to one year. To find older events, use calendar.google.com.
Apple Calendar is a different app. Apple Support for current iOS documents Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts. Add Google there, tap the account, and turn Calendars on. Then open Apple Calendar, tap Calendars, and check the Google calendar. An unchecked calendar looks like missing events.
If the Google account itself is missing from the phone, that is a device sync problem in the not-syncing guide. Resync does not change Apple Calendar or iPhone settings.

If events are on calendar.google.com and missing in the Google Calendar app, stay on the phone. A new phone usually means the account was not added yet, or the calendars were never selected on this device.
Google Calendar Help says the Calendar app only syncs past events up to one year. If the account or Calendar sync is off, that is covered in the not-syncing guide. Resync does not change Android Calendar settings.

Outlook does not show a live Google calendar the way Google Calendar does. Microsoft documents seeing your Google Calendar in Outlook by copying Google's secret address in iCal format and pasting it into Subscribe from web. Some Outlook versions call that Add calendar from internet. That feed is read-only. Outlook refreshes it on its own schedule, not instantly.
Outlook on the web can take more than 24 hours to refresh a subscribed calendar. Importing a one-time .ics file is a snapshot. Microsoft says that imported copy does not refresh, even when the Google calendar changes, so later events will not show. That is why Outlook can look like it is not showing all events. Subscribe if you want updates. Import only if you want another snapshot.
The full ICS steps, including the other direction, are in the Outlook guide. Resync does not connect Outlook or Microsoft 365.

A meeting invite is not the same as an event that already exists on a calendar you can see. If someone invited you and the event never appeared, that is Google Calendar invite not showing up? Fixes: the invitation email, Add invitations to my calendar, or the account that received the invite.
If you already declined the invite, it can still be on the calendar while Show declined events hides it. If the whole shared calendar is missing, use the shared calendar guide. Resync does not accept or decline invitations.

Use this table when the calendar is already there and specific events are missing or hidden.
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar listed, no events on the web | The calendar is unchecked under My calendars or Other calendars, so every event on that overlay is hidden. | On calendar.google.com, check the calendar in the left list. Google Calendar Help says to choose which calendars you want to show there. |
| Declined meetings disappeared | Show declined events is off, so events you said No to stay on the calendar but do not appear in the grid. | In the Calendar app, open Menu → Settings → General and turn Show declined events on. That setting shows events you said No to. |
| Flight or reservation from Gmail is missing | Show events from Gmail is off, you were only cc'd, or the email is not a supported confirmation. | On a computer, Settings → Google Workspace smart features → Show events from Gmail. In the app, Menu → Settings → Events from Gmail. Help says that setting is off by default in the EEA, Japan, Switzerland, and the UK. |
| Wrong Google account | Web Calendar is one account per browser tab. The event lives on another Gmail or Workspace address. | Open calendar.google.com in the account that owns the event. On a phone, confirm that account is signed in and the calendar is turned on. |
| Wrong date or view | The grid is on another day, week, month, year, Schedule, or 4 days, so the event is off-screen. | Use Today, the arrows, or the small calendar to pick the date. Search can find the event by name or date range. |
| Event was deleted or marked spam | Deleted events stay in that calendar's Trash for 30 days. Calendar can also move a suspicious invite to Trash. | On a computer, Settings menu → Trash. Restore the event if it is there. Trash is a computer-only Help flow. |
| Old events missing on iPhone | Apple Calendar Sync is set to a lookback such as Events 1 Month Back, or the Google Calendar app only syncs one year of past events. | In Settings → Apps → Calendar → Sync, choose All Events, then refresh. For older than one year, open calendar.google.com. |
| Shared calendar events missing on iPhone | The shared calendar is unchecked in Apple Calendar, or it was never selected on Google's Calendar sync page. | Check it in the Calendars list. Use calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect, save, then refresh. If the whole calendar is missing, use the shared-calendar guide. |
| New phone is missing events | The Google account is not added yet, Calendar sync is off, or the calendars were never selected on this device. | Add the account, turn Calendar sync on, and select each calendar in the app. Events that exist on calendar.google.com can then appear. |
| Outlook not showing all events | Outlook subscribed to Google's secret iCal address and has not refreshed, or someone imported a one-time .ics snapshot. | Subscribe from web if you want updates. Outlook refreshes on its own schedule and can take more than 24 hours. An imported copy never updates. See the Outlook guide. |
| Invite from someone else is missing | The event was never added to your calendar, or Add invitations to my calendar left it off until you respond. | That is a meeting invite, not a hidden event on a calendar you already see. Use the invite-not-showing guide. |
| Resync Busy holds are missing on a device | The mirror calendar is hidden or unchecked on that device, or the source event is free, declined, cancelled, or a working-location event. | Select the mirror calendar on the web and in the app. Resync only writes private Busy holds onto Google mirror calendars. It does not sync Outlook or Apple Calendar. |
Google Calendar Help, Apple Support, and Microsoft Support steps checked Nov 4, 2026.
Use the steps above when an event is hidden, declined, from Gmail, limited by a phone lookback, or delayed in Outlook. Resync does not change those settings. It does not sync Outlook, Apple Calendar, or iCloud.
Use Resync when another of your Google calendars should treat this busy time as busy. Resync only creates Google-only private Busy holds between a user's own Google Calendars. Holds are titled Busy. The mirror calendar must be visible or selected on the device to see those holds. It currently syncs Google calendars only. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.
Start on calendar.google.com. If the calendar is in the left list and some events are still missing, they are usually hidden, not unsynced. An unchecked calendar under My calendars hides every event on that overlay. Show declined events hides events you said No to. Events from Gmail stay off unless Show events from Gmail is on. You may be signed into a different Google account, looking at the wrong date or view, or the event is in Trash. If the whole calendar is missing, use the shared-calendar guide. If nothing from that account appears on a phone, use the not-syncing guide.
Confirm the events first on calendar.google.com. The Google Calendar app and Apple Calendar are different apps. In the Google Calendar app, tap Menu and turn the calendar on. Google Calendar Help says that app only syncs past events up to one year. In Apple Calendar, add Google in Settings, turn Calendars on for that account, then tap Calendars and check the calendar. Apple Support documents a Calendar Sync setting that can limit events to a timeframe such as Events 1 Month Back. Shared calendars that are not under My calendars also need Google's Calendar sync page.
Google Calendar Help can add flights, trains, hotels, restaurants, and ticketed events from Gmail. On a computer, Settings → Google Workspace smart features has Show events from Gmail. In the Calendar app, Menu → Settings → Events from Gmail has the same control. That setting is off by default in the EEA, Japan, Switzerland, and the UK. Events are not added if you were only cc'd, the email went to a mailing list, it redirected from another account, or it is not a confirmation. By default, only you can find those events, even if you share the calendar.
Outlook does not show a live Google calendar the way Google Calendar does. Microsoft documents pasting Google's secret iCal address into Subscribe from web, also called Add calendar from internet in some Outlook versions. That feed refreshes on Outlook's schedule. Outlook on the web can take more than 24 hours. Importing a one-time .ics file is a snapshot and never updates, so later Google events will not appear. Resync does not connect Outlook. See the Outlook guide.
Old events: in Apple Calendar, Apple Support documents Settings → Apps → Calendar → Sync. If that is set to Events 1 Month Back or another timeframe, older events stay on calendar.google.com but do not appear on the phone. Choose All Events, then refresh. The Google Calendar app only syncs past events up to one year. Shared events: the shared calendar must be checked in the Calendars list, and calendars that are not under My calendars need Google's Calendar sync page at calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect. If the whole shared calendar is missing, use the shared-calendar guide.
No. Resync does not change Show declined events, Events from Gmail, Apple Calendar Sync, Outlook subscriptions, or which calendars are checked on a device. It reads busy time from Google calendars you mark as sources and writes private Busy holds titled Busy onto Google calendars you mark as mirrors. The mirror calendar must be visible on the device to see those holds. It currently syncs Google calendars only. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.
Connect the Google calendars you want to keep aligned, then mark sources and mirrors on the dashboard.
Resync will ask Google for permission to:see your list of calendars; see events on the calendars you choose as Sources, to know when you're busy; and create, update and delete events titled "Busy" on calendars you choose as Mirrors.
