Show week numbers on a computer
Google Calendar Help documents View options as the settings that change how the calendar looks, including which day your calendar week starts. The published computer settings table lists View options without naming the week-number checkbox. The product control is Show week numbers.
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- At the top right, click Settings.
- On the left, click View options.
- Turn Show week numbers on. Changes save automatically.
After you choose a view at the top right — Day, Week, Month, Year, Schedule, or 4 days — it stays until you change it. Week numbers are easiest to spot in Week, Month, and Year, and on the small calendar in the top left. Help does not document a keyboard shortcut for this setting.

Android and iPhone / iPad
The Google Calendar app does not use Settings → View options. That path is computer-only. Change Google Calendar settings Help names Show week number on the phone under General. The label is singular: Show week number. On the web the product control is Show week numbers.
Android
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Calendar app.
- Tap Menu, then Settings, then General.
- Turn Show week number on. Help says that setting shows the number of the week on your calendar.
iPhone and iPad
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Calendar app.
- Tap Menu, then Settings, then General.
- Turn Show week number on. Help says that setting shows the number of the week on your calendar.
That is not the same as Apple Calendar. Apple's Week Numbers switch lives in iPhone Settings, under Calendar. It does not control the Google Calendar app.
Help does not document that turning Show week numbers on on a computer makes the number appear in the apps. It also does not document which app views show the number. If the toggle is missing in your app version, or the number never appears the way it does on the web, open calendar.google.com on a computer and use View options. That is the path Help documents for changing how the calendar looks.

ISO week numbers vs Sunday start
ISO 8601 weeks start on Monday. Week 1 is the week that contains the year's first Thursday. ISO week 1 of 2026 starts Monday, 29 December 2025, because that week contains Thursday, 1 January 2026. Near a year boundary, a Sunday-start count can number the same days differently from that ISO week.
Google Calendar Help documents which day your calendar week starts under View options on a computer, and Start of the week under General in the Calendar app. Help does not name ISO 8601. It does not say which numbering rule Calendar uses when the week starts on Sunday.
If you need Monday-based weeks that line up with ISO week numbers — a European team, payroll, or a 2026 ISO week planner — set Start of the week to Monday. On a computer: Settings → View options. In the app: Menu → Settings → General. A time zone change does not retarget week numbers. Time zone setup is in the Google Calendar time zone: set up & fixes guide. Working hours are a weekly availability pattern, not a week-number setting. That difference is in the Google Calendar working hours: set up & fixes guide.

Print with week numbers
Print your calendar Help documents printing from a computer: pick Day, Week, Month, Schedule, or 4 days, then Settings menu, Print. On Print preview you can change font size, orientation, and Show weekends. Help does not document a week-number checkbox on Print preview.
- On a computer, turn on Show week numbers under Settings → View options.
- At the top right, pick Week or Month if you want a weekly or monthly page.
- At the top right, click Settings menu, then Print.
- Change font size, orientation, or Show weekends if you want, then click Print.
The Google Calendar app has no Print. Open calendar.google.com in a browser, request the desktop site, then use Settings menu, Print. A computer is still the path Help documents. Full Day, Week, Month, Schedule, agenda, and PDF steps are in the How to print Google Calendar (Day, Week, Month, Schedule, and PDF) guide. Help does not document whether the week number from View options appears on every printed view.

When Resync helps (and when it does not)
Use the steps above when the problem is Show week numbers, Show week number in the Calendar app, Start of the week, ISO versus Sunday numbering, or a printout. Resync does not show week numbers and does not change View options or print calendars. It does not sync Outlook, Apple Calendar, or iCloud.
Use Resync only when the real pain is two of your Google calendars out of sync — the week grid, or the page you print, is missing busy time that lives on another Google account. Resync does not show week numbers and does not change View options. If two of your Google calendars are out of sync, it writes private Busy holds onto the calendar you actually look at. It currently syncs Google calendars only. $1.50/month or $9/year after a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.
- Holds are titled Busy. Description, location, attendees, and conference data are left empty, so source meeting details stay on the source calendar.
- When you mark calendars as both source and mirror, a booking on either calendar becomes a Busy hold on the others. That is two-way blocking between those Google calendars.
- If a source event moves, Resync updates the hold. If the event is cancelled, marked free, declined, or is a working-location event, Resync does not keep a hold.
- Resync looks 90 days ahead when it reads source events. It watches source calendars with Google push notifications and updates holds when those events change. A polling fallback also runs about every 5 minutes. Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors. Resync currently syncs Google calendars only.
- If you delete or edit a hold, Resync records that and does not recreate it for the same source event on that mirror.
- If the source event is Private, the hold is Private. Otherwise the hold uses default visibility.
Set up Resync
- Sign in with GoogleOpen Resync and sign in with the Google account you want as your primary account. You land on setup.
- Connect another Google accountChoose Connect another Google account and finish Google's permission screen. Resync needs at least two Google accounts before you can start.
- Start syncingWhen a second account is connected, setup shows bidirectional mirroring as the intended default: real events on either side become private busy blocks on the other. Choose Start syncing to open the dashboard.
- Mark sources and mirrorsIn Sync configuration, turn on Source to read busy time from a calendar and Mirror to receive Busy holds. A calendar can be both. Read-only calendars cannot be mirrors because Resync needs write access to create holds. Week numbers stay a Calendar view setting. Resync does not turn them on.
